At a time when many families are struggling to pay their mortgage and monthly car payments, comes a comes an idea that changes the way we think about using our cars. Many of us have heard of the concept, you put a magnetic advertising sign on your car and get a check in the mail every month from the companies that want to have their products or services promoted. Some drivers claim they are making in excess of $600 per month, and some say they even get free cars.
So how true is this? Is it really possible to make that much for doing nothing more than slapping an Ad on your vehicle and driving as you normally do? After some investigating, we find that yes it is possible to make some quick cash, with the paid2drive program. The program has been around for over a decade now, and it all started when a struggling house-wife decided she would raise some money for her daughter’s scouting group by advertising for a local business. In return, the small business paid her a monthly advertising fee. This program became largely successful with many driver’s expressing interest in joining the program, along with companies wanting to join in on the action.
Not everyone gets a free car of course, there are limited amounts of large corporations that offer these. However, those that own their own cars can get paid some nice figures, anywhere from $100 per month upto $800 or more. Of course this depends on the number of businesses signed up within a particular region. Many businesses have joined the paid2drive program, across the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and Australia so finding such a program in your area should not be too difficult.
One of the largest companies we are aware of that participates in connecting drivers with paid2drive companies is PAID2DRIVE.org. They administer the waitlist of driver’s wanting to join (which can be lengthy) and link driver’s with the various paid2drive companies. They have been around for several years now and from what we’ve heard have placed hundreds of drivers into the program. They do say however, that demand has risen significantly, as many families struggle to pay their bills and are looking to make enough to meet their next mortgage repayment. This has led to a waitlist of drivers waiting to be selected for the program.
So the idea seems to work and gives everyday moms and dads a way to make some extra cash doing something they already do. So no more complaining when your stuck in traffic, just think ‘im the one getting paid’.
